Even before you get into the who and the how, is my data safe?

This is the first question because we didn’t want you to miss our commitment to safe record keeping. We need to collect demographic info like your address, gym and insurance info in order to submit the majority of claims on your behalf. We will always do right by you the member which means we will never use your data in a way that will compromise your identity.

What is spott3r?

We are a healthcare startup company dedicated to paying people to work out.

Why is there a 3 in the name?

Simple, the 3 stands for Sign Up, Work Out, and Cash In.

How does it work?

You create a free profile, you work out as you routinely do, and we’ll file a reimbursement on your behalf to your insurance company if eligible.

Who's eligible?

The criteria ranges widely, but as long as your insurance company has a gym reimbursement or wellness credit, we’ll do all the processing needed to get you paid.

How do I get paid?

We’ll send you a check or you can furnish a PayPal account if you prefer.

When do I get paid?

Depending on your eligibility criteria, members may be reimbursed monthly, biannually, or yearly. We typically see reimbursements go out biannually.

How do you get paid?

We charge an administrative fee only if you get a reimbursement.

What do I have to do?

Sign up, continue working out, and keep your info current so that we can cut down on processing time.

How long does it take to process?

This ranges depending on how quickly we can get activity data from your gym, if your profile info is thorough and when your insurance company processes your reimbursement.

How do you measure engagement?

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend our members workout 2-3 times a week to stay well within eligibility criteria.

Why does my insurance company offer this benefit?

There’s a ton of literature on adverse selection, moral hazard and all that good health economics stuff but in a nutshell, chances are that if you stay in good shape, you’ll dramatically lower your risk of chronic conditions and therefore reduce overall healthcare spend.

What if my insurance doesn't have a wellness credit / benefit?

We’ll keep checking back for you and do everything we can to get a wellness credit benefit from them!

What if I'm not currently insured?

You don’t need insurance to make healthy lifestyle choices, exercise and eat moderately to stay in shape but unfortunately, at this time we can only offer reimbursements through eligible health insurance plans. 

How do you partner with my gym?

The data is yours, so when you agree to our terms & conditions, you allow us to act on your behalf in order to get your gym attendance records.

How do I renew?

Don’t worry, it’s automatic since we only get paid when you do!
